I understand that you have bikes and people mainly use them to go to town to get food. Could we use them to go to Wall of Tears or the Turtle Breeding Station? If not, where do you recommend we rent them?2020-01-28T03:08:55+00:00

You are right, the bikes can only be used to go for grocery shopping, they are free to use and the max time to use them is for one hour. If you would like to make cycling tours we do recommend you to rent bikes, these bikes are equipped for this type of terrain and you won’t get flat tires etc. in the map you will find all shops and rental agencies.

Do you have snorkel equipment for us to use on unguided tours?2020-01-22T16:35:04+00:00

Yes we do, our equipment is for free. However, if you are looking for more advanced equipment you can rent these at local stores nearby.

Read in your visitor guide that only soap should go down the drain with water. Should we spit toothpaste into trash? Does this mean we shouldn’t shave with shaving cream?2020-01-28T03:11:41+00:00

You can use of course toothpaste, shaving cream also. Normally it is not a big amount and for sure will be neutralized by the vinegar that we use for housekeeping and laundry. However, we do strongly recommend you to use organic lotions and cosmetics and if possible bring safe ocean sunscreen to avoid pollution and damage in the sea and easy up the recycling process of our water treatment. It is very important that the sunscreen does not contain any oxybenzone, octinoxate, Nano-size particles of zinc oxide or titanium dioxide, which may cause coral bleeching

How do we get from the airport to the lodge?2020-01-22T16:33:07+00:00

You need to cross the Itabaca Channel, from the airport, which is located at Baltra island, to Sta. Cruz island, then take a boat to come to Isabela island. (for more details visit our website)

You need to booking an early flight from Quito or Guayaquil since the boat that is coming to Isabela island from Sta. Cruz is at 2 pm. If you are thinking to get Chez Manany in the same day.

Depending on the time you have to catch the boat or if you are staying in Puerto Ayora, after getting to the other side of the channel you can take a taxi or the bus. We provide our guests a very interesting map and also an informative book in your check in, the map has two sides, one is about streets, grocery stores, bakeries, restaurants, tour operators , etc. And the other side is about tour activities possible in Isabela island.
