  We stayed here at end of December with wife and two children ages 9 and 11. We stayed the the top floor of the apartment. Here are some highlights... read more of our stay.
1. Customer service was excellent. Email communication throughout the booking process and afterwards was so nice. Manany was so helpful with all questions.
2. The room was so nice and spacious. The out door balconies with hammocks my kids loved.
3. The walk into town about 10 min not bad at all. We did not encounter any dogs. We also rented bikes in town which was a very easy bike ride. The island is safe and so easy to bike around.
4. No ac takes some getting used to but the fans are excellent. If though you get hot easy, this may be an issue.
5. Mosquitos some nights but overall not a major issue. Mosquito plug in coils may be nice to provide.
6. Had some issues with ants first day but Manany quickly helped. She was always so helpful.

Overall excellent stay and service. I highly recommend. More

En cuanto al trato no se pueden decir más que cosas buenas. Particularmente valoramos el detalle de llamarnos desde el continente al no poder recibirnos personalmente y la amabilidad de Marta es indescriptible.

La única pena que nos queda es el no haber podido disfrutar más días de las instalaciones.

  Chez Manany is a beautiful eco-lodge with pride of ownership. Mariana is so helpful and lovely. She arranged our tours at a much lower price than you can find online... read more for a small fee (our savings was way more). I was a little worried about the distance from town, but our 6 and 8 year old boys had no problem walking and no bikes were necessary. The port was so close and convenient for our tours to Los Tuneles and Las Tintoreas (we just met them at the port instead of going to the office). Bottled water is now free with the room, and the rules are common sense and not at all hard to follow! Of course we want to preserve this organic, unusual, and diverse ecosystem of the Galapagos! If you want to really enjoy the beauty of Isabela in a sustainable and beautiful place, this is the place to stay!

Isabela was a great place to vacation as a family, as we were able to enjoy all the Galapagos "must sees" (e.g. marine iguanas, boobies, volcanos, snorkeling, tortoises) within walking distance. The kitchen was well supplied and made cooking our own meals easy. Manany is an incredibly helpful host, providing us with detailed information, helping to plan several day trips (Los Tuneles was amazing!), and helping us navigate last-minute COVID vaccination changes. The lodge is also designed by the owner himself, it really feels like a lodge in the middle of Pacific Island jungles. Manany is incredible and very nice, she coordinated everything for me. This stay has been amazing and would recommend in a heartbeat!

The apartment is bright and airy, minimalist in its decor, with wonderful hammocks for lounging on the balconies. Mariana was attentive to our needs and extremely helpful in orienting us to the rhythms and routines of the island as helping to organized tours and excursions. We loved being close to the Concha de Perla snorkeling area and the dock (lots of penguins here!) and didn't mind at all the walk in and out of town for eating and grocery shopping. I would highly recommend staying at Chez Manany, its is a model for sustainable tourism on the island and a lovely home away from home!
